Blue Ridge Safety Association is offering on-site training to meet the requirements for VOSH/OSHA, DOT and EPA:
Training will cover the following 3 area:
- OSHA General Industry Training – Department of Labor (29 CFR)
Training includes: Record Keeping, Required Written Plans and all specific General Industry required topics (Hazard Communication, Fall Protection, Emergency Action, LOTO, etc.)
- Hazardous Materials Training – Department of Transportation (49 CFR)
Training covers: Shipping papers, Placarding, Labeling, and Packaging.
3. Environmental Training – Department of Interior (40 CFR)
Training includes: Solid Waste (Hazardous and Non Hazardous) Inspections, Reporting (Tier II and Form R), Permitting (Air, Stormwater, Wastewater and Water) and Emergency Response Plans.
Training is conducted on-site by BRSA Board member and expert trainer, John Sutton at the low cost of $80/hour. John is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM). John also has his OSHA 501 Train the Trainer certification.
All sessions are 1 hour, except the DOT Hazardous Materials segment which requires 2- 3 hours.
